The Ministry of Public Security (Minseg) disbursed $9.5 million for longevity bonuses to former officials from various security sectors of the country. According to the entity, these payments correspond to rights acquired by public servants of the National Police, the National Border Service, the National Aeronaval Service, the National Migration Service, and the administrative headquarters of the ministry, as part of a management aimed at ordering, sanitizing, and making transparent the institutional commitments of the security sector. Additionally, as an example of financial responsibility, Minseg incorporated an additional $4.1 million in the 2026 budget, with the objective of ensuring the continuity of disbursements and honoring the commitments made by the current administration since mid-2025. According to the latest official report, $9,502,502.34 has been delivered to beneficiaries, and 257 checks remain available for withdrawal, for a total of $707,752.01. These resources are part of a total budgetary management of $12,411,226.50 corresponding to the year 2025. Likewise, in the Comptroller General of the Republic, there are forms worth $1,599,541.30, which, after being reviewed, will go to the payment management process.
