They noted that the figures reflect a balanced mix of international tourists and Panamanians, especially on the beaches and in Azuero. The Panamanian Hotel Association confirmed an estimated increase in bookings of up to 30% in revenue thanks to the four days of street parties, music stages, and tourist activity across the country. In areas like Boquete, a greater presence of visitors from abroad is also reported, attracted by the climate and hotel offerings. Carnival 2026 officially kicks off this Friday, February 13th, with coronations in several parts of the country and will run until Tuesday, the 17th, featuring parades, dance troupes, artistic stages, and popular parties.
