Banco Nacional de Panamá Launches Photovoltaic Systems

With these projects, Banco Nacional de Panamá realizes its vision of the future: to drive a country that is economically competitive, socially equitable, and environmentally sustainable. Banco Nacional de Panamá's network is advancing towards a more sustainable operational model with the launch of photovoltaic systems in its branches in Cañazas, Las Palmas, and Las Minas. These new installations are integrated into the institution's Energy Management Plan, designed to transform electricity consumption through the use of renewable energy sources. With this new stage, there are now six operational points—adding to Capira, Pedasí, and Ocú— that generate their own clean energy. Currently, the use of solar panels at these locations represents 3% of Banconal's total electricity consumption, a figure that reflects the transition towards responsible resource management and a direct reduction in environmental impact in the regions where the entity is present. This technological update aligns with a comprehensive ESG strategy, where innovation serves efficiency.
