Panamanian students win the "Future Innovator Team Spirit Award" at the World Robot Olympiad in Singapore. The "Asimov Juliet" team also secured bronze and silver medals in other categories.

Panama wins prestigious award at World Robot Olympiad in Singapore 2025.

The team "Asimov Juliet" from Visión del Saber school has won the prestigious "Future Innovator Team Spirit Award" in the Elementary category at the 2025 World Robot Olympiad in Singapore. The team placed 36th out of 96 teams in its category. In addition, in the Robotics Sports category, "SDLG1" from San Vicente de Paúl School in Veraguas placed 48th out of 56.

In the "Future Innovators Elementary" category, the "Asimov Juliet" team from Visión del Saber school placed 13th out of 31, earning a bronze medal. In the "Future Innovators Junior" category, the "Xplorbot" team from The Oxford School placed 15th out of 58, securing a silver medal.

The "Team Spirit Award" recognizes the innovative and creative spirit in robotic projects, specifically in the primary category for students aged 8 to 12. This honor is bestowed upon the Asimov Juliet team.

The team consisted of students: Ana Jiménez, Zoe Murillo, and Abdielys Batista, with their coach: Lía Victoria Narváez.

"The Team Spirit Award is a well-deserved recognition from the World Robot Olympiad for Panama's growth in educational robotics and STEAM education, and we congratulate our students on this important achievement, which inspires us to continue working and contributing to the education of our country," stated Neyda Domínguez, Executive Director of FUNDESTEAM.

The student robotics delegation will return to Panama this Saturday, November 29.

Other competition results:

  • In the "Robotics Missions Junior" category, the Panamanian team "Eco Rover" from Panamá Cristian Academy placed 39th out of 112.
  • In the "Robotics Missions Senior" category, "Asimov Tango" from Visión del Saber school placed 26th out of 95.
  • In the "Future Engineers" category, "VizDrive" from Sun Yat Sen Institute placed 20th out of 64.
