Panama — binational search. Teresa López Santos (18), a Panamanian national, has disappeared on the border between Panama and Costa Rica, leading the Primary Attention Section of the David Regional Prosecutor's Office to advance investigations for a crime against life and personal integrity. The young woman was last seen by her partner on September 3rd, when he accompanied her to the Tracopa bus station, located in Buenos Aires Centro, Costa Rica. Teresa, carrying her one-year-old child, was heading to Casona de Limoncito, near San Vito de Coto Brus, a locality also in the neighboring country, but she never arrived. As more than three months have passed and Costa Rican authorities have not located Teresa in their country, the information was referred to Panama this week. Therefore, the Public Ministry initiated an official investigation after receiving communication from the Superior Prosecutor's Office for International Affairs. For this reason, the Primary Attention Section of the David Regional Prosecutor's Office (Chiriquí) requests that if anyone has seen Teresa, they please report her whereabouts to the phone numbers 728-4207 or 728-4205.
