A large-scale waste cleanup operation has begun in the San Miguelito district of Panama. In just one week, authorities have cleared over 3 million pounds of waste from 95% of critical points. To improve the service, the city has been divided into three zones: Blue, Orange, and Green, each assigned to a specific company. Authorities have warned that this is a temporary measure for six months while a more stable system is organized. The goal is to clear the mountains of waste in San Miguelito by January 19 and ensure the service is properly implemented this time. "This is teamwork: government, companies, and the community," officials reiterated. Despite the strong start, the challenge now is to prevent the area from getting dirty again.
