Four Colombian Shipwreck Survivors Rescued on Colón Coast

Four people arrived in an inflatable raft at Playa de Limón, in the Donoso district, on the Costa Abajo of the Colón province. This incident is under investigation by authorities and security agencies. In the late hours of Friday, these individuals unexpectedly arrived at the beach on the raft, which is typically used in case of shipwrecks. Upon arrival, they were suffering from dehydration. Residents of the area, seeing the situation, alerted the Justice of the Peace and agents of the Service (SENAN), who coordinated a boat from the community of Miguel de la Borda to go to the location and rescue them. Once brought to shore, they were taken to the Miguel de la Borda Health Center to receive medical attention. They informed authorities that they are Colombian nationals and survivors of a shipwreck that occurred in high seas. An investigation has begun to determine the circumstances of their arrival.
