The Ministry of Environment reported that the La Cruz trail, located in Altos de Campana National Park and Biological Reserve, will remain closed due to delays in rehabilitation works being carried out there. Carlos Moreno, head of the park, explained that this measure is supported and justified by a note from the contracting company Panamerican BC, responsible for the works. The note indicates that the projects are delayed due to climatic factors that have limited normal development. Adverse weather conditions, such as intermittent rains and strong winds, have restricted the safe access of technical personnel and the continuous execution of fieldwork, affecting the scheduled timeline. According to MiAmbiente, the temporary closure aims to safeguard the integrity of visitors, park rangers, and workers while pending works on the trail are rescheduled and completed. However, it was clarified that the Mirador Caja de Agua viewpoint and other enabled trails within the protected area remain open to the public in their regular hours.
