Panama - The Fire Corps attended to 390 emergencies from 1:00 PM to 5:00 PM today nationwide, as part of the preventive and deployment plan developed during the festivities in Panama. This operation made it possible to provide timely attention to incidents related to fires, accidents, prehospital assistance, and inspection actions, guaranteeing the safety of the population through the articulation of human, logistical, and technical resources. Through the Directorate of Operations for Extinction, Search, and Rescue (DOEXBURE), 98 bee control operations, 46 traffic accidents, 94 vegetation fires (IMAVE), 5 structural fires, and 6 vehicle fires were reported. The Meritorious Fire Corps reiterates its call to the public to maintain prevention measures, avoid indiscriminate burning, and collaborate with authorities to continue reducing emergencies. In parallel, the National Directorate of Security, Fire Prevention, and Investigation (DINASEPI) conducted 2,653 inspections at mass gathering sites, verifying safety conditions in 258 stages, 100 floats, 1,504 vending stalls, 553 water tanks, and 120 generators. The operation involved 1,286 operational units and the activation of 171 emergency teams, strengthening national coverage. These figures reflect the diversity of emergencies firefighters faced during the holiday period. The Emergency Medical Assistance and Rescue Service (SAMER) provided 42 prehospital services, ensuring the stabilization and transfer of patients who required immediate assistance.
