A minor in Panama experienced terrifying moments after being dragged by a strong current at Los Olivos beach, in the district of Barú, province of Chiriquí. The incident occurred on Monday afternoon during Carnival, when the minor was enjoying the beach with her family when she was suddenly surprised by the waves and the force of the water, which began to carry her out to sea. Her health status is reserved, but she is reported to be stable. Witnesses immediately alerted the SENAfront units present in the area, which activated a rapid operation. Tactical units entered the sea and managed to reach the victim to pull her out of the water. After being stabilized on the shore, she was urgently transferred to Dionisio Arrocha Hospital, in Puerto Armuelles, where she is receiving medical attention.
