Panama - Early Thursday morning, a traffic accident occurred on the road from the community of El Carate towards Tonosí in the province of Los Santos, where a taxi-type vehicle left the road and ended up overturned in a nearby field. In the incident, the taxi driver, identified as Alexis Ariel, lost his life at the scene due to the strong impact. The passenger accompanying him was injured and was taken by ambulance to a hospital to receive medical attention. Neighbors in the area reported that the accident occurred around 5:30 in the morning when they heard a vehicle honking insistently. Seconds later, a loud bang was heard, and upon going out to check what had happened, they observed that the car was already overturned on a plot of land next to the road.
