A strong smell of rotten meat alerted a resident of the La Torre community, Nuevo Vecino sector, in the Nueva Italy corregimiento, in the province of Colón, this Saturday. They proceeded to investigate in a wooded area, finding the body of a man suspended in a state of decomposition. Immediately, they notified the National Police about the situation near their home. The situation was treated as death by suspension, classified as a crime against life and personal integrity, in its undetermined death modality. The person was not identified. The body was suspended from a tree with a rope around the neck in a state of putrefaction. The case was handled by officials from the Ministry Public's Criminalistics, who conducted the inspection and removal of the body.
