A 70-year-old French citizen was reported missing on Saturday morning in the Playa El Estero area of Santa Catalina, Soná district, prompting a search operation by security services and local residents. According to Yackzabeth Jiménez, regional director of the National System for Civil Protection (Sinaproc) in Veraguas, units immediately responded to the alert. However, after more than an hour of searching the area where the individual was last seen, the missing person could not be located. Search operations continue with the support of community residents and various security entities, who are conducting patrols along the coastal areas and adjacent zones in hopes of finding the elderly individual. Authorities have not provided further details about the circumstances of the disappearance but reiterated the call for the public to collaborate with any information that could help locate this person.
