Brothers Samy and Sandra Sandoval officially launched the “Rebeldía Tour,” betting on the implementation of immersive sound in a live show within the typical music genre. The event, conceived as an appetizer for the tour, combined a repertoire full of rebellion songs with an enveloping sensory experience and three-dimensional audio technology, allowing sounds to be perceived from all directions, including from above, below, and behind. Samy Sandoval explained that the group used a 9.2.4 configuration—nine speakers distributed around the audience, four in the ceiling, and two bass sections—which allowed the sound to literally surround the attendees. “This comes from Europe and has been seen in places like Las Vegas and theaters in New York, but in regional or typical music like ours, it's a first for all of America,” affirmed Sandoval, highlighting the pioneering nature of the proposal. During the performance, held on the night of Thursday, April 9, the artist himself descended from the stage and walked through the venue playing his accordion, allowing the audience to experience the sound from different points. “I had seen it in movies and recordings, but not live. See you this Saturday at the Sandra Fest in Westland Mall,” stated the rhythmic singer.
