A 27-year-old man has been ordered to be provisionally detained for his connection to a 2024 attempted homicide case in the La Feria community in Los Lagos, located in the Cristóbal district of the Colón province. The incident occurred on March 13, 2024, in this community (La Feria), when the accused, accompanied by two minors, fired multiple shots at a man in a frequented public area, causing injuries to his body. During the hearing, the prosecution also requested the court to file charges against this man, a request that was admitted. He now faces the crime of attempted homicide in a case handled by the Specialized Homicide and Femicide Section of the Colón and Guna Yala Regional Prosecutor's Office. Over the years, this community has become a red zone, leaving people dead and wounded due to violence in its internal streets.
