The Ministry of Labor and the Single Union of Construction Workers and Similar (Suntracs) declined to use alternative conflict resolution methods as of this Friday, starting the hearing to request the dissolution of the union organization. The plaintiff was represented by María Fábrega, while the defendant was represented by Rolando Murgas Torraza. Subsequently, the phase of presenting testimonial, documentary, and other evidence by each party was announced. During the hearing on Friday, April 10, new evidence was incorporated into the evidence already presented during the filing of the lawsuit and in its response. Each party was given the opportunity to present their objections to the evidence provided. The First Labor Sectional Judge, in coordination with the legal representatives of the plaintiff and defendant, scheduled the presentation of the first testimonies for Friday, April 24, starting at 9:00 AM. Meanwhile, after the hearing, Murgas Torraza stated that none of the plaintiff's points have been proven to proceed with the dissolution of the union. This legal process originated on July 17, 2025, when Minister Jackeline Muñoz filed a lawsuit requesting the dissolution of Suntracs for alleged violations of the Labor Code.
