The Opportunities Equity Office of the University of Panama is providing support and assistance to around 200 students with disabilities. This initiative is developed with the aim of promoting their labor and social integration.

In collaboration with the Ministry of Labor and Labor Development (Mitradel), a partnership has been established for the employment of university graduates with disabilities. This project aims to create inclusive job opportunities and promote equal conditions for this group of people.

According to the director of the Opportunities Equity Office, this alliance represents a significant step towards the labor inclusion of people with disabilities in Panamanian society. Joint efforts are being made to raise awareness among companies about the importance of providing equitable and respectful job opportunities.

One of the main objectives of this collaboration is to promote a diverse and respectful work environment where the skills and capabilities of all individuals are valued, regardless of their physical limitations. The idea is to drive a positive change in the perception of disability in the workplace and eliminate barriers for the full inclusion of people with disabilities.

In the words of the director of the Opportunities Equity Office, "it is essential to create workspaces that promote diversity and respect, providing real opportunities to all people, without discrimination."

Thanks to this alliance between the University of Panama and Mitradel, it is expected that more graduates with disabilities will be able to access decent jobs and develop their full potential in the labor field. This is an important step towards building a more inclusive and equitable society for all its members.
