The Central American Bank and the Office of the First Lady of Panama have joined efforts to improve the well-being of older adults in the country. In this regard, the banking entity approved financing of B/ 725,000 aimed at transforming the former Apostolic Nunciature into a modern comprehensive care center for more than 500 elderly individuals.

This project aims to provide an adequate space for older adults to receive medical, recreational, and wellness attention. The initiative is part of efforts to promote active and healthy aging in the Panamanian population, thus responding to the needs of this vulnerable group.

According to the First Lady of Panama, this investment represents an important step in building a more inclusive and supportive country that provides opportunities and care for those who need it most. Additionally, the commitment of the Central American Bank to support initiatives that contribute to the social and human development of the region is highlighted.

"With this transformation, we are not only rehabilitating a historic building, but also improving the quality of life for our elderly. We want them to have a place where they can spend time pleasantly and receive the care they deserve," emphasized the First Lady during the project presentation.
