In the context of the Firmness Plan, the National Police of Panama reported that in the last 24 hours various actions were carried out, resulting in the apprehension of a total of 234 people. Of these arrests, 132 were made by order, 76 for administrative offenses, 15 in flagrant violation, and 14 related to cases of drug trafficking.
In addition, 14 search warrants were executed, during which five firearms, 26 ammunition, B/.24,430.00 in cash, and 28 bags of marijuana were seized. Furthermore, two vehicles that were presumably involved in illegal activities were recovered.
In the area of traffic, a total of 1,862 tickets were issued, highlighting 455 violations for speeding, 151 for inadequate lights, 32 for expired licenses, 52 for drivers under the influence of alcohol, and 20 for using a cellphone while driving.
According to authorities, during the same period, 134 vehicles were towed for various reasons, and 72 injured individuals were attended due to traffic accidents, reflecting the importance of maintaining road safety and preventing situations that threaten the integrity of citizens.
