The Federico Guardia Conte water treatment plant in Chilibre, operated by IDAAN, is functioning at 90% of its capacity due to repair work on one of its pumping motors. It is estimated that the repair work will take approximately three hours and started at 10:00 AM.
During this period, the supply of drinking water will be affected in areas located in the central district of Panama and in high zones of the district of San Miguelito. Once the repairs are completed, operations will be restored to 100%.
In the words of IDAAN: "The Chilibre water treatment plant is operating at 90% due to a failure in one of the motors of its pumping stations. We are working to solve the problem, and it is expected that in approximately three hours the normal operation of the plant can be restored."
