During the first ten months of 2025, the Prehospital Medical Care and Rescue Service (SAMER) of the Meritorious Fire Corps of Panama has provided a total of 8,836 care nationwide in response to various emergencies. Of these interventions, 5,973 corresponded to medical emergencies*, while 2,843 were of a fire-fighting nature.
This breakdown demonstrates the service's capacity to address a wide range of incidents, from traffic accidents to situations where people presented severe symptoms in their homes or workplaces.
SAMER is composed of a highly specialized team that, in addition to providing prehospital medical care, offers professional accompaniment during critical moments, safeguarding lives and ensuring the safety of the population.
