Idaan Guarantees Water Quality in Pacora and La Chorrera

Idaan assures the public that water quality in Pacora and La Chorrera is being closely monitored and remains safe, despite the challenges of the rainy season.

The National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (Idaan) guarantees the quality of drinking water for residents of Pacora and La Chorrera. Since the start of the rainy season, Idaan has activated its most rigorous protocol for monitoring and controlling water quality, while also intensifying cleaning operations at all water purification plants in the country. Idaan states that it maintains permanent surveillance and frequent monitoring processes, ensuring that the service received by users in Pacora and La Chorrera continues to meet the highest potable water standards. With the increase in rainfall, river levels have risen, which supply raw water to various purification plants. The supply of quality drinking water for the residents of Pacora and La Chorrera is guaranteed, assures the National Institute of Aqueducts and Sewers (Idaan). Idaan recalls that the Centennial purification plant in Pacora and the Jaime Díaz Quintero 'Trapichito' plant in La Chorrera are part of the comprehensive plan to modernize the country's drinking water production infrastructure. These projects have already been tendered and are currently in the technical evaluation phase for their award and imminent execution. According to the institution, to achieve this goal, strict analysis and control protocols are applied.
