The Social Security Fund (CSS) has announced a new recruitment process for nurses and nursing assistants to strengthen healthcare in the country's hospitals. This is an urgent and necessary move, as we all know the healthcare system is overwhelmed with more work than it can handle. On Monday, December 15, from early in the morning, applicants will face basic knowledge tests. This is not a mere formality: CSS wants to ensure that those who join are prepared to handle the daily reality of emergency rooms and operating rooms, where every minute counts. For residents of the Metropolitan Area, Colón, Panamá Este, and Panamá Oeste, the venue will be the auditorium of the Dr. Francisco Díaz Mérida Workers' Health Institute, in Calidonia. No tricks. With this massive call, the institution reaffirms its focus on strengthening human resources in health and improving the quality of service for the entire population. A central location where a large turnout of professionals is already expected. In the central provinces, the test will be held at the Dr. Rafael Estévez Hospital in Aguadulce; in Chiriquí, at the Dr. Rafael Hernández Hospital; and in Bocas del Toro, at the Dr. Raúl Dávila Mena Hospital. At all locations, the tests will begin promptly at 8:00 a.m. CSS stated that applicants cannot show up unprepared: they must bring their ID, a copy of their nursing diploma, a pen, a pencil, an eraser, and a non-cellular calculator.
