So far this year, 97 deaths from influenza and 47 from COVID-19 have been accumulated. The situation shows active co-circulation of respiratory viruses, especially influenza A and RSV. The Minsa recommends that the population: go to health centers to get vaccinated against influenza and respiratory syncytial virus, especially for prioritized groups according to current regulations, and ensure booster shots against COVID-19 for at-risk populations. In case of symptoms of respiratory illnesses, go to the nearest health establishment, reinforce self-care, and protect vulnerable people. The Department of Epidemiology of the Minsa will continue to closely monitor the national and regional situation and will promptly communicate any relevant updates.
