According to a report from the Ministry of Health (Minsa), similar systems will be installed in communities in the districts of Capira, Chame, and San Carlos. In total, seven wells will be drilled in the communities of: Las Yayas, El Zaino, Altos del Jobo, La Colorada, Hules Centro, Altos de Espavé, and El Broquel. In parallel, improvements are being made to the water intake that supplies the communities of El Dormidero, La Agustina, La Uva, El Espino, and El Hatillo. The Ministry of Health will use photovoltaic systems to supply efficient and sustainable energy to aqueducts being installed in communities far from the electrical grid in the district of La Chorrera, Panama West province. The drilling and installation of the photovoltaic systems are in charge of the Directorate of the Drinking Water and Sanitation Subsector (DISAPAS). This directorate will also be in charge of monitoring and supervising the quality of water from these underground wells. This aqueduct system supplies 640 people living in 160 homes, according to the records of this ministry.

Panama's Health Ministry is rolling out a project to install photovoltaic systems to supply drinking water to remote communities in Panama West province. The project includes drilling seven new wells and upgrading existing water intakes, improving the quality of life for 640 residents.
