The community is now better protected and living better. The day ended with smiles, happy neighbors, and the feeling that health can come straight to the neighborhood. For many, these tours are not just check-ups, but a breath of fresh air and a reminder that taking care of yourself doesn't have to be complicated. From children to adults, everyone was able to get their health checked for free. Neighbors received general medicine, pediatrics, and dentistry check-ups. In the heart of Victoriano Lorenzo, over 300 people took advantage of the free health event organized at the School of the Republic of Germany. Vaccinations, blood pressure, weight and height measurements, Pap smears, and even pet care were also available. Additionally, free medications were given to those in need. Algis Torres, director of the San Miguelito Health Region, was present and stated that these events are key to detecting risks and teaching prevention in the community. He reported that soon mental health, psychology, and social work will also be included in these medical tours. The plan was not limited to just medical care. The Health Authority and Vector Control also took action: fumigation, rat bait, and cleaning to reduce diseases.
