Panama - A woman approximately 60 years old, of US nationality, drowned this Monday at Playa Las Lajas, in the district of San Félix, located in the eastern sector of the province of Chiriquí. Units of the Tourism Police and the Public Ministry attended the scene to carry out the corresponding procedures to determine how the incident occurred, as well as to proceed with the removal of the body. It should be noted that, as of yesterday, the National System of Civil Protection (SINAPROC) maintained a warning for high waves on various coasts of the country, among other points, in the Gulf of Chiriquí.
