The Social Security Fund (CSS) has taken a historic step in medical research by forming its first National Group of Researchers (GNI-CSS). This initiative aims to strengthen scientific production and transform healthcare in Panama. 'The National Research Group reflects decades of work and scientific vocation,' the statement reads. This recognition motivates us to continue contributing to the development of the institution and, above all, to the well-being of patients, said Paulino Vigil De Gracia, National Director of Teaching and Research at the CSS and senior researcher, a pioneer in obstetric critical care medicine and the only member of the CSS to reach the highest category of the National System of Researchers of the National Secretariat of Science, Technology and Innovation (Senacyt).
