Panamanian Police Apprehend Four Minor Sexual Abusers

A special operation in Panama led to the apprehension of individuals accused of sexual crimes against children. Four suspects were detained, and technological evidence was seized. Investigations are ongoing.


Panamanian Police Apprehend Four Minor Sexual Abusers

The National Police and the Public Ministry developed Operation Sieve in East Panama and North Panama, with the objective of locating and apprehending persons wanted for crimes against freedom and sexual integrity in the aggravated rape modality, sexual relations with minors and corruption of minors. As a result, three men and one woman, aged 20, 21, 22 and 42, linked to sexual crimes against minors, were apprehended. The suspects are identified as the father, brother, and family friends of the victims. The search and seizure warrants were carried out in the districts of Las Cargas, Caimitillo, Alcalde Díaz, and Chilibre, also seizing technological evidence that may be related to the investigations. The National Police, through the Judicial Investigation Directorate, will continue with investigations and operations against sexual crimes that attack the physical and sexual integrity of children and girls.
