The National Authority of Transparency and Access to Information (Antai) is investigating cases of nepotism at the Autonomous University of Chiriquí (Unachi). So far, three officials have been dismissed due to irregularities in salary publication.

The National Authority of Transparency and Access to Information (Antai) is conducting an investigation at the Autonomous University of Chiriquí (Unachi) for cases of nepotism. So far, disciplinary measures have been taken against three officials of the institution.

According to Antai, during the review of the university, irregularities were found, including the publication of false information related to staff salaries. These practices have raised concern and the need for a deeper investigation to clarify the situation.

One of the representatives of Antai stated: "It is essential to ensure transparency in public institutions, and in this case, the irregularities detected at Unachi are a cause for concern. We are working to fully clarify these matters and take the necessary measures to prevent future cases of corruption and nepotism".

Antai will continue with the investigation at Unachi to determine the extent of the irregularities and establish the corresponding responsibilities. This process is expected to help strengthen transparency and integrity in public management.
