The Cabinet Council has approved a project aimed at providing stability to teachers working with temporary contracts in official first and second level educational centers in Panama. This decision arises in response to the sustained growth of the student population attending these centers, which has generated a series of challenges for the educational system.
According to the Ministry of Education (Meduca), the increase in the number of students has created the need for stable and committed teaching staff to ensure the quality of education. Therefore, this project has been approved to provide job security to teachers who currently have temporary contracts.
The Minister of Education, along with other authorities, has highlighted the importance of this project to strengthen the educational system and ensure that students receive a quality education. It is expected that this measure will help improve the working conditions of teachers and, in turn, positively impact the teaching-learning process.
