The National Police of Panama arrested a woman in Panama Viejo, who is allegedly linked to the case of the kidnapping of Dayra Caicedo, which occurred on February 19 in Arraiján. Park rangers from the MiAmbiente institution were the ones who detected the suspicious activity that led to the arrest.

According to the information provided by the National Police and the Land Transport and Transit Authority (ATTT), around 126,233 vehicles have traveled towards the interior of the republic during the carnival period. This flow of vehicles has required the implementation of security and control measures by the authorities on the country's roads.

The detainee in Panama Viejo has not yet been publicly identified, but it is expected that her arrest will contribute significant advances in the investigation of Dayra Caicedo's disappearance case. According to the authorities, they continue to gather evidence and testimonies to clarify the facts and bring those responsible to justice.
