
During the days of Carnival in Panama, several cases of homicide, drug possession, and domestic violence were recorded. In this context, the Adversarial Criminal System conducted a total of 140 hearings during this period.
In recent statements, authorities reported that charges have been filed for various crimes committed during the festivities. Among the most notable cases is a homicide that occurred in the district of San Miguelito, where a person lost their life due to an armed confrontation.
Additionally, several cases of drug possession were reported, leading to the detention of several individuals involved in these illegal activities. Likewise, reports of domestic violence were addressed, a problem that unfortunately continues to be recurrent in Panamanian society.
Authorities from the Adversarial Criminal System emphasized the importance of maintaining security and order during mass events like Carnival and reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring law enforcement and justice in the country.
