Panama's SENAN seized 13.5 tons of cocaine. Reports indicate the ship belonged to a high-ranking official who previously held a fuel supply monopoly in the region.

The National Aeronaval Service (SENAN) announced the seizure of 13.5 tons of cocaine found on a ship in the Pacific Ocean on Tuesday. According to sources, the owner of one of the seized vessels is a high-ranking official of the Panama Maritime Chamber. In previous governments, this person allegedly held a monopoly on fuel supply and cruise ship provision in the Amador area. Among those involved are citizens of Ecuador, Venezuela, and Colombia. The cargo, en route from Colombia to the United States, is valued at over 200 million dollars on the international market.
