Panama's Minister Announces Exclusions from Social Program

The Minister of Social Development, Beatriz Carles, announced that some individuals have been excluded from the '120 at 65' program due to detected irregularities.

Payments are made in two modalities: through the Social Clave Card, which began on November 17 and will continue until the 28th of this month, and the 'hard-to-reach' modality, which will extend from December 1 to 5.

Among those excluded for the first time are individuals who held taxi operation permits, which contravenes the program's requirements. Carles explained that this irregularity was detected thanks to the interconnection with the Land Transit Authority (ATT), which has made it possible to verify the situation of the beneficiaries.

Additionally, she pointed out that other exclusions have been made for more common reasons, such as individuals who already receive pensions or retirement benefits.

The minister highlighted that the government is making the fourth payment of the year, reaching over 186,000 people through the four social programs they implement: '120 at 65', 'Guardian Angel', 'Network of Opportunities', and 'Nutritional Bonus'.

Carles stressed that these payments are being made transparently and on time.

Regarding the payments, the minister informed that an economic injection of over 54 million dollars is being carried out.
