Panama's President Inspects Metro Line 3 and Announces New Laws

Panama's President José Raúl Mulino arrived today in Howard, Arraiján, to inspect Line 3 of the Metro, which includes a section under the Panama Canal and will connect over 500,000 people from West Panama to the capital in just 40 minutes. "This changes people's lives," Mulino said during the tour. On security, he announced that the Executive Branch is preparing a law against mafias and gangs, and called on the Judicial Branch not to grant house arrest to high-profile criminals. He reported that six schools in the Ngäbe-Buglé comarca and the Roberto Mariano Bula stadium in Colón will soon be completed. In health and technology, the Social Security System (CSS) activated a phototherapy cabin for skin diseases, and the 26 Hitachi trains are already being tested for the new line. Mulino concluded with a message of clear diplomacy and energy: he highlighted clear international relations, assured the line will not overload the power grid, and the trains are regenerative, generating energy when braking. With advances in infrastructure, anti-narcotics measures, and social projects, Mulino showcased a government that delivers results felt by Panamanians on the streets, not just in speeches.
