Panama's Tribunal Disagrees with President Mulino's Statements

The full session of the Electoral Tribunal (TE) expresses its disagreement with the statements made by the head of state of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, during a visit to the Republic of Costa Rica, this Friday, November 21, 2025. The Electoral Tribunal received a challenge against the presidential candidacy of the Realizando Metas party, which was resolved through a Full Session Agreement in March 2024, that is, two months before the general election. TE is respectful of the Political Constitution of the Republic and the laws. The decisions that were resolved during the electoral process were attended to in strict compliance with the country's legal framework. After its reorganization in 1990, the TE has organized free, transparent, and democratic elections in which the popular will reflected at the polls has been respected, a recognition that international organizations have also made. TE magistrates say they did not like Mulino's statements. The entry was published first in La Verdad Panamá.
