Via his Instagram account, Martinelli stated that he has no connection to the video and was not the one who uploaded it. “I am not responsible for this false content; it is a fraud or scam,” warned the former head of state. He added that the video was created using artificial intelligence. The material claims that an investment of $100 can yield weekly profits of $2,000, which is completely false information. Furthermore, the fake video asserts that thousands of Panamanians over 40 are quitting their jobs and retiring early thanks to the launch of a supposedly government-backed financial platform.
