Four members of a criminal group, who deceived women by posing as employers to rob, rape, and extort them, have been apprehended in the San Miguelito district. The arrest of the suspects was achieved through a raid by 247 police units, with the support of drones and 62 officials from the San Miguelito Prosecutor's Office, in the El Hueco San Antonio and La Ratonera areas, lasting about 3 hours. After several search and seizure operations, officers located four men accused of the crimes reported by seven victims. The investigation, which has been ongoing for about a month and a half, reveals that the suspects found social media posts from women offering their services as hairdressers or masseuses. The women were lured to the San Miguelito Metro station, where they were picked up and told they would be taken to their workplace, but upon arrival, their belongings were stolen, they were raped, and filmed and photographed to later be extorted with the threat of posting the visual material on social networks if they reported the crimes. It is expected that in the coming hours the suspects will be presented before a guarantees judge for the judicial process of the case. Authorities, in turn, urge other women who have also been victims of this type of crime to report their cases so that all members of this criminal group can be apprehended.
