Two people died on Friday afternoon in an armed attack registered in the Calzada Larga sector, Caimitillo district, province of Panama. Initial information, confirmed by the National Police, states that the victims are a civilian carrying out community work in the area and a lieutenant of the institution. According to preliminary reports, the civilian died on the spot after being shot. In the same incident, a National Police lieutenant was seriously injured and urgently transported, but died minutes later due to the severity of his injuries. The scene remains cordoned off while police units and personnel from the Public Ministry begin proceedings to establish how the attack occurred and who is behind this violent act.
