To reinforce public security during New Year's celebrations and other upcoming festivities, a coordination meeting was held between the seven mayors of the Herrera province and the National Police. The governor of the province, Elías Corro, informed that these meetings aim to establish a joint work plan to guarantee public order, tranquility in homes, and the protection of the population during the festive activities held in the province. «Working meetings were held with the mayors and the National Police to coordinate the security measures that will be implemented for New Year's and other upcoming festivities, with the aim of preventing situations that could affect peaceful coexistence and citizen safety,» stated Governor Corro. During the meeting, topics related to the regulation of festive activities, the control of alcohol consumption, and the handling of situations that could cause public disturbances were addressed. Likewise, local authorities emphasized the need to maintain permanent communication between local authorities and security forces to prevent regrettable situations. The governor highlighted that these actions will allow for a more timely and effective response to any eventuality, while reiterating his commitment to working in coordination with local governments to safeguard social peace in the Herrera province. This coordination will make it possible to draw up a master response plan not only for the New Year's festivities but also for other upcoming events in the first quarter of the year that attract thousands of people to the region.
