The Fourth Section of the Anticorruption Prosecutor's Office of the Public Ministry has initiated an investigation into the alleged commission of the crime Against the Public Administration, to the detriment of the State, according to an official document dated December 12, 2025. The document, addressed to the general director of the National Charity Lottery (LNB), Saquira Jaramillo, requests detailed information about Mr. Thamir Enrique Jiménez Salgado, identified with personal ID No. 13577-25 / AM (associated with Criminal News 2025000098303), and requires confirmation whether Jiménez Salgado is or has been an official of the entity, and if so, to submit: – Authenticated copies of his appointment decree, possession act, job manual, and immediate supervisor. – Certification of his work schedule and attendance records (digital or manual) from January 2025 to the present. – Information on any administrative or disciplinary proceedings against him, including corresponding documentation. – Any other data that may contribute to the investigation. The document was received by the LNB on December 15, 2025, according to the corresponding seal. To date, the National Charity Lottery and the Public Ministry have not issued public statements regarding the specific details of the investigation. The LNB has faced scandals in previous years related to irregularities in prizes and payments, although there are no public indications that this case is linked to those.
