The Naval Aviation of Panama seized 24 packages of suspected illicit substances hidden inside the cooling panels of a container at a port terminal in the province of Colón. The operation was part of the tasks for controlling illegal maritime traffic and verifying containers. According to authorities, the cargo originated from Puerto Bolívar, Ecuador, with transit through Panama and final destination in Helsingborg, Sweden, passing through Antwerp, Belgium. Following the seizure, coordination was carried out with the Colón Drug Prosecutor's Office to conduct the necessary searches and inspections of the container, securing evidence and documenting the operation in detail. To date, the Naval Aviation has seized a total of 62,361 packages of illicit substances in 128 operations during 2025, reinforcing national security and combating the scourge of drug trafficking that threatens the country's coasts and ports.
