Venezuelan Repatriation Flight Rescheduled Due to Paperwork Issues

Foreign Minister Javier Martínez-Acha announced that the repatriation flight for Venezuelan citizens scheduled for this Monday has been rescheduled due to incomplete procedures by the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The necessary permits for overflight and landing have not yet been formalized, preventing the operation from proceeding as agreed upon. “We are requesting that this be complied with, as it is part of the agreements within the framework of consular relations,” the minister said in an interview with Telemetro Reporta. Authorities note that there is no exact date for the rescheduling of the flight. “Our consulate in Caracas is making the necessary arrangements for the flight to take place as soon as possible,” said Martínez-Acha. To date, 59 repatriation flights for migrants have been carried out, most of whom entered through the Darién jungle.
