Attorney Carlos Carrillo stated at the start of the third day of the Odebrecht case trial that it is evident that Ricardo Martinelli's rights have been violated and that his client has no relation to money laundering or any other illicit acts. Carrillo explained that the investigation against Martinelli is based on donations received during the 2008 and 2009 political campaigns, that is, before he became president of the Republic. 'What was unfair was that the Public Prosecutor's Office remained silent that Brazil had annulled everything derived from the evidence of Drousys and My Little Web and that they maintained these accusations,' he emphasized. Meanwhile, attorney Guillermina McDonald, defender of Navin Mohan Bhakta, indicated that today the reading of the order to trial concludes and some attorneys will present extraordinary evidence since there is an ordinary period where both documentary and expert evidence has already been presented.
