The president of Panama, José Raúl Mulino, will travel next Sunday to Switzerland to participate in the Davos Forum, where he will promote the logistics and port potential of his country, which is home to the Panama Canal, through which between 3% and 6% of world trade passes. 'I am leaving early on Sunday for Switzerland to fulfill the World Economic Forum and attend a good number of meetings with presidents and business leaders at the global level, all, for the most part, related to the logistics, maritime and ports of the Republic of Panama,' the ruler declared this Thursday during his weekly press conference. Mulino specified that he will have the 'opportunity to be able to explain and share' Panama's 'competitive advantages' one by one, and in forums where presidents of America and the Prime Minister of the Netherlands will participate, with whom the Panamanian president will share 'a dialogue on the port and logistics matter', in which this nation is 'one of the European powers'. The Davos Forum will receive in its 56th edition, which will take place from January 19 to 23, some 3,000 economic and political leaders, including 1,700 business representatives from 130 countries, as well as some 60 Ministers of Economy and Finance, a thirty of Trade and as many others of Foreign Affairs. Among the most outstanding confirmed presences are that of the President of the United States, Donald Trump, his counterparts from Argentina and Ukraine (Javier Milei and Volodymyr Zelensky, respectively) and the President of the European Commission, Ursula von der Leyen.
