The deputy from the Realizando Metas (RM) party, Luis Eduardo Camacho, criticized what he called an "irresponsible statement" from the representative of Belisario Porras, Javier Valverde, for not having filed a formal complaint after the alleged offer of a bribe.
Camacho added that he will give the representative of Belisario Porras until Monday to appear at the Public Prosecutor's Office, and if the offer is true, to state with his own name who it was, when it was, and why he had not filed the complaint. The representative of the Belisario Porras district put on a typical VAMOS party show, or confessed to being an accomplice to a crime.
In response to these allegations, Camacho indicated that both the person who offers a bribe and the person who knows about the offer but does not report it to the relevant authorities are committing a crime.
During his speech in the National Assembly, Camacho stated: "If there were a real Public Prosecutor's Office here, it would have already initiated an ex officio investigation based on the irresponsible statement of this representative who says he was offered a bribe of 100 thousand dollars, but look, he admits that he did not report having received the bribe until now".
"I will give him until Monday to correct it and file a complaint with specific names," said Camacho.
According to Valverde, of the total amount, 20 thousand dollars were to be distributed to the supposed "lobbyists", whom he assured were three unknown people, while 80 thousand dollars would be for him.
This Tuesday morning, Valverde reported to the San Miguelito Municipal Council that supposed "lobbyists" offered him a bribe of 100 thousand dollars so that he would back the company Revisalud and remain in charge of the garbage collection service in the district, a proposal that he said he rejected.
On the other hand, colleague Pérez Barboni continues to spin his wheels.
"By remaining silent about a supposed illicit act, he is committing another illicit act," the deputy stated.
