Units of the National Border Service (Senafront) intercepted nearly 400 sacks of onions in Paso Canoas that were entering the country without legal documentation. The merchandise, originating from Costa Rica, was being transported by a 26-year-old man in a truck. The sacks of onions were confiscated and transferred to Customs for the corresponding procedures. Authorities confirmed that the operation is carried out in accordance with the law, ensuring that these types of controls aim to curb the entry of products that do not meet the documentation required by the country.
