Patrols on the beaches of Guna Yala

Agents of Panama's National Border Service are enhancing security on the beaches of the Guna Yala region through preventive patrols and inspections as part of the 'Safe Summer 2026' operation.

Along the beaches and communities of the Guna Yala region, where dozens of national and foreign tourists are attracted by the natural beauty, agents from the Caribbean Second Brigade of Panama's National Border Service (Senafront) are deployed as a strategy to reinforce security in these areas. This operational activity is combined with preventive patrols at various checkpoints, conducting inspections of individuals, businesses, and tourist sites. The objective is to strengthen community integration and ensure security and territorial control. These areas of the Guna Yala region are sensitive to illicit activities such as drug trafficking, and months ago, migrants were detected using this route to head north across the continent. National and foreign bathers are present here, enjoying the tranquility thanks to the vigilance of Senafront. This is part of the 'Safe Summer 2026' operation, which includes constant preventive tours in tourist areas.
