The Odebrecht case trial resumed this Wednesday with the testimony of witnesses for day 14. The first to testify was Spanish economist Juan Cejudo Peña, who appeared virtually from the Panama Consulate in Madrid. It was also confirmed that Dámaris Rodríguez will have to testify on Tuesday, the 10th, a date to which the testimony of José Hidalgo was also rescheduled, as he was unable to attend this session. The court reported that for the next session, witnesses Alvin Ibarra and Álvaro Thomas, as well as experts Leonel Sanjur and Manuel Moreno, have been summoned. Due to work commitments, Luis Enrique De Gracia could not attend, for which reason the defense decided to decline his appearance as a witness at this stage of the process. During the session, Santiago Roselló also testified remotely from Madrid, while Elbert Rubio and Lía Margarita Lasso de Chiari appeared in person in the courtroom. The hearings will continue in the established schedule from 8:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., as the process moves towards its final phase.
